Introduction

Glebe Cottage provides bed and breakfast accommodation in two twin or double bedrooms. The following statement is a summary of the service that we are able to offer. Should you wish to ask any other questions concerning your stay with us please do not hesitate to telephone (01985 850565.)

Pre-Arrival

Codford is approximately 7 miles from Warminster and thirteen miles from Salisbury; both locations have railway stations and taxis on ranks.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

Glebe Cottage is the first property on the left side of Church Lane; the lane is signed and an additional sign indicating the Commonwealth War Graves ANZAC cemetery makes identification very simple.

Parking for motor cars is provided on the drive at the left hand side of the property.

The surface is level and flat and of gravel.

We can help you with your luggage.

Entrance and Reception

Guests will find it more convenient to use the entrance door that leads from the drive; this is always kept locked and a bell is provided.

All doors and corridors in Glebe Cottage are of the standard width.

The ground floor is equipped with fitted carpets throughout.

There is a lavatory and hand basin in the loo on the ground.

A flight of 12 stairs leads to the first floor.

Dining Room

Breakfast is served in the dining room which is on the ground floor.

We do not play background music any where in the property.

A full English breakfast or a continental breakfast is available and we will ask what you prefer to have when you arrive.

Laundry

No laundry facilities are available for guests.

Conference and Meeting Rooms

The Garden

Guests may use the garden during the warm summer months.

Walks

Glebe Cottage is in a rural location and there is a wide variety of walks suitable for all tastes and states of fitness.

For those wishing to walk a little further we suggest that Ordnance Survey OS Explorer 1:25,000 Sheet 143 would be very useful. Glebe Cottage is at GR 973396.

Bedrooms

Bedrooms are on the first floor.

Guests are asked to state whether their preference if for double or twin beds at the time of booking.

Coffee and tea making facilities are available.

Televisions are provided with terrestrial channels.

Alarm clocks are provided or a ‘wake up’ call can be arranged.

Bedrooms are fitted with short pile carpet on the floor.

An iron and ironing board are available on request.

A hair dryer is available in your room.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms have a bath, shower, hand basin and lavatory.

Fresh towels are provided each day. (If you wish to reduce your carbon footprint please tell us.)

Additional Information

We are unable to accept payment by Credit or Debit Cards, therefore payment should be made by cheque or cash.

Mobile telephone reception is not particularly good in the Wylye Valley and Codford is no exception.

An hourly bus service to Salisbury, Warminster, Bath and Bristol is in operation; the last service is at 1735.

We can provide refrigerated storage for medicines.

Fire safety notices are to be found in the information directory in bedrooms. In the event of fire guests should assemble in the garden. The evacuation routes will be pointed out to guests when they arrive.
